Cette reconnaissance permet de développer l’échange d’étudiants avec des Universités entre les différents pays ayant signé l’accord. Cela comprend les 25 pays européens, ainsi que l’Islande, la Suisse, le Liechtenstein la Norvège, la Bulgarie, la Turquie et la Roumanie.

La Certification ERASMUS + vient compléter notre dispositif international qui donne déjà la possibilité aux étudiants de suivre des études à l’étranger et ce sur les 5 continents.

General Information
WIBS
WIBS’s Opening Hours WIBS is opened from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm.
It is closed on Saturday, Sunday and holidays.
Secretary’s Office The Weller’s Assistant is at your disposal at the following days and hours :
Monday to Thursday: 11:00 am –1:00 pm and 3:00 pm –5:00 pm. Closed on Friday.
If you need any administrative document, it is compulsory to make an appointment with the Executive Assistant.
Notice Board An interactive notice board is placed in the hall of WIBS’s school.
You will find the timetable and any information concerning your Program.
Cafeteria A cafeteria is at your disposal. It offers hot drinks, cold drinks and food.
You must have cash money: hot drinks (0,40 €), cold drinks (water 1€).
You also have the possibility to boil water.
Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the Campus.
Classrooms It is forbidden to poor liquid in the trashcans and when you leave the classroom, it is recommended to clean up when you leave.
Mail Arriving in France you may need an incoming mail box.
The school address may be a possibility for you to receive your first letters.
Absences You must arrive on time and give advance notice for any absence.
If you can’t come, you will have to report directly to the WIBS’s Secretary Office.

The steps must be made at the latest within two months after your on French territory.
Where to ask ?

First request for your residence card : the documents you have to produce :

To obtain the resident card, the student has toy the object of the stay : studies, resources, accommodation, money, etc…..
The exact list of documents to be produced may vary from one prefecture to another.
You must present originals and a copy for each required document. The main documents required are :

Identity Card Valid “Carte d’identité” for European Countries students
Visa Long Stay Student Visa for Non European Countries students
Accomodation Proof of telephone, electricity bill, insurance policy or a housing certificate
Studies Proof of your enrolment in WELLER’s School : “certificat de scolarité”
Photos Black and white recent photos (3.5×4.5 cm)
Finance A guarantee from a person providing funds, with notarised signature, in French
Medical Exam a proof you were summoned by the health Office (OMI)* during your first stay permit period. You will have to pay a stamp (55 €). You can buy this stamp (timbre fiscal in French) in tobacco shops.
 

The period of delivery of the residence card can vary from a prefecture to another.

Renewal, it is advised you ask for the renewal of your residence card 2 months prior to the expiration date.

Health Insurance

French law requires that students have medical coverage during their stay in France.

As a student at WELLER, the French Social Security will cover 70 % of your medical expenses in return for a mandatory annual contribution of 213 Euros. If you want total coverage (100%), then you need to take a complementary insurance.

CONDITIONS FOR ENROLMENT IN SOCIAL SECURITY
To be eligible for this protection, students :
must be 28 years old or under
must hold a residency card that is valid for more than 3 months (for non European students)
must be enrolled in a higher education institution accredited by the Social Security Authority.
must give a birth certificate to get the “Carte vitale”
If you are more than 28 years old, you must go to the Social Security of your Residence
HOW TO SUBSCRIBE ?
At the moment of your enrolment in WIBS :
you must fill in a form given by Weller
You must provide a copy of your passport
You must give a copy of your birth certificate
Your contribution will be 189Euros* (by cheque).* price for 2015-2016
HOW LONG IS IT VALID ? Each year, this health insurance will be available from the
1st of October till the 30 of September.
 

To Help You…

Medical doctors in France are either “conventionné” or “non-conventionné”.
This means that a “conventionné” general practionner will charge 25 Euros and the social security will reimburse 70 % of the amount.
A “non-conventionné”, if you pay 35 Euros, you will still be reimbursed 70 % of 25 Euros.

General practitioners or specialists deal with all health problems from strep throats to back aches
Specialists, as the name indicates, are specialized on a pathology or part of the body – ophthalmologist for the eyes, dentists, neuropsychiatrist for psychopathologies, etc.
Fees are higher if the doctor has to make a house call, at night, on a Sunday or on a public holidays.

Provisional work permit

For non European students, employment is subject to strict French laws.
To undertake any professional activity, you have to obtain a provisional work permit (APT – Autorisation provisoire de travail).

To obtain a provisional work permit, you : must be enrolled in a education institution accredited by the Social Security Authority
must hold a student resident permit
must have an employment contract or a promise of employment.
Regulations The work contract can be a fixed contract (CDD) or an indefinite contract (CDI).
The maximum work hours in a year you can do is 830 and a half hours
Validity of the work permit The work permit is valid for maximum 9 months. It is renewable.

Métro, RER, Bus

Together with the bus, the metro is the ideal way to get around Paris.
Its lines cover the city and suburbs. Each line has a different colour and is identified by a number.

The Campus line is number 2, its colour yellow.

To get around Paris at a lower price, the best formula is “Passe Imagine R” :

  • It is an annual formula (50% decrease)
  • You must be old under 26 years old
  • You must be a student

Bank

In France, you can pay with checks, credit card or cash money. You can also withdraw money with your credit card (blue card) in cash machines.

To open a bank account, 4 documents are important to take with you :

  • passport
  • residence permit/carte de séjour
  • proof of residence
  • proof of your status of student.

You will receive a check-book (free of charge) and you can have a credit card (between 15 and 40 euros/year). Weller’s school has developed a good relationship with the bank “LCL.”, which will facilitate the different steps to open a bank account.
